Get your New Year Celebrations started tonight Monday 29th at the pre-Hogmanay party at Iona, 180 Grand St, Brooklyn NY – with the sounds of top notch pipes and fiddle duo Ben Miller & Anita MacDonald. After attending the piping program at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire, Ben’s now finishing his PhD at the School of Scottish Studies in Edinburgh and Anita’s an amazing step dancer and fiddler from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia who’s performed all around the NE and at the Celtic Colours International Festival . It’s going to be great night with two amazing tradition bearers.
Thanks to all our supporters and especially to the bar – Robbie, Victor, J and Miguel – we made it – Kickstarter came in during the session last Monday. Join us this coming Monday for the last session before we break for the summer led by the wondrously talented Amy Beshara accompanied by Max Carmichael on guitar. We’re planning to make the album over summer and debut it when the session returns to Iona after Labor Day! Still time to contribute! Links below :
