Join us for Mondays 9 to midnight every week for an open session led by our special guest musician. All welcome to play, sing, listen. Iona is in Brooklyn NY, 180 Grand St at Bedford.

Join us for a great live music craic at Iona, 180 Grand Street Brooklyn, 3.30 -6pm on St. Patty’s followed by a lovely night of Celtic song on Monday 19th 9-12.
Iona Burns Night -Thursday Jan 25th 2018
A fabulous Brooklyn Burns Night celebrating the life and work of Scotland’s bard, Robert Burns. Drams, songs, live Scottish traditional music, toasts and delicious haggis with Battlefield Band and Daimh fiddler, Alasdair White, piper Andrew Forbes, Matthew Christian, Karen Brown, Pamela Agaloos, Tiffany Knight, Max Carmichael, Calum Pasqua, Matt Diaz. Master of Ceremonies Robert Buchan. Drink Specials and no cover! Iona is at 180 Grand Street, Brooklyn. Festivities 8-11pm.
Monday 13th and Friday 17th March
Join our international women of song, Tiffany Rae Knight and Pamela Lee Agaloos next Monday 13th March for a special Song Night at Iona. Singers welcome (especially Sean McNally), backup by the Iona Session band. Iona is at 180 Grand Street, Brooklyn – from 9pm.#internationalwomensday
We’re excited for another song night with Pamela Jean Agaloos and Tiffany Knight on Monday 13th 9pm-12pm followed by the open session for singers and musicians on St. Patrick’s Day, Friday 17th 5pm-8pm led by fiddler Karen Brown, multi-instrumentalist Max Carmichael and piper JR Strauss.
Save the Date! Cancel the Inauguration! The IONA BURNS NIGHT returns in all it’s shaggy glory next Wednesday 25th January at 9pm. Fiddler Emerald Rae and piper Andrew Forbes will unleash the musical beasts. Poetry, comedy, haggis and cheap adult beverages will flow. JR Strauss, Max Carmichael, Amy Lynn, Calum Michael, Matt Diaz, Pamela Jean Agaloos, Miguel Coias and Karen Brown in the house. Crying and screaming permitted. Also dancing and laughing.
Iona Session Fall Season
September 26th with Will Woodson- we’re starting at 10.30pm after the presidential debate but usually tunes start at 9pm. October 17th we have Andrew Sharp doing a pipes and woodwind workshop before the session. October 24th a film crew will be in to record.
Last two Mondays before summer break
June 13th we’re having a send off party for our regular piper, Andrew Forbes with the lovely singer and fiddler Liz Hanley at the helm. June 20th we close the winter/spring season with the fabulous Caitlin Warbelow, fiddler and teacher extraordinaire. We’ll be back after Labor Day! Iona is at 180 Grand Street, corner of Bedford Ave in Williamsburg. Tunes 9-12. See you there. All welcome.
Spring Line-up at Iona – March and April
Starting with a Thursday night 6-9pm early bird special session on St. Pat’s March 17th, we have an exciting lineup for the next six weeks at Iona on our regular Mondays. A special night planned for April 4th when we will be celebrating Sebastian McLaughlin’s art exhibit ,currently on show at Iona, with a party from 7-9pm followed by the session 9 – midnight on Monday April 4th.
