We’ve rescheduled the Iona song night, ’cause of the ferkin’ snow. Lotso people come in from the far away places. So… still playing this Friday 5-8pm for St. Pat’s all welcome, next Monday 20th Eamon Sefton and Emilie Rose, then Song Night rescheduled for March 27th by which time we will be wearing our summer dresses and sunglasses.

We’re excited for another song night with Pamela Jean Agaloos and Tiffany Knight on Monday 13th 9pm-12pm followed by the open session for singers and musicians on St. Patrick’s Day, Friday 17th 5pm-8pm led by fiddler Karen Brown, multi-instrumentalist Max Carmichael and piper JR Strauss.
Save the Date! Cancel the Inauguration! The IONA BURNS NIGHT returns in all it’s shaggy glory next Wednesday 25th January at 9pm. Fiddler Emerald Rae and piper Andrew Forbes will unleash the musical beasts. Poetry, comedy, haggis and cheap adult beverages will flow. JR Strauss, Max Carmichael, Amy Lynn, Calum Michael, Matt Diaz, Pamela Jean Agaloos, Miguel Coias and Karen Brown in the house. Crying and screaming permitted. Also dancing and laughing.
How did we get this lucky? It’s song week at Iona and our special guest is the legendary Scots Gaelic singer Christine Primrose. Our own Pamela Jean Agaloos will host Monday 12th from 9pm then we’ll have a full on Gaelic song night on Sunday 18th from 7pm with the BBC in to film for the 2nd time this year. Come along, bring a song, it doesn’t have to be gaelic or require a santa hat, and there is a prize if you do both.
Session will not run on Monday 26th December, but we will be back in the New Year on January 2nd.
September 26th with Will Woodson- we’re starting at 10.30pm after the presidential debate but usually tunes start at 9pm. October 17th we have Andrew Sharp doing a pipes and woodwind workshop before the session. October 24th a film crew will be in to record.
